Today there are many Internet access providers (ISPs) to choose from. They include major online networks like CompuServe, Prodigy and AOL. They are all dropping their prices and increasing their on-line time allowances to gain your business. Most ISPs are offering unlimited access to the Internet for $20/month or less and include a free e-mail address. The result of all this will be more people changing ISPs to get the best deal. Your access to the Internet may also change if you change schools or employers. It is possible to have your Internet access changes many times in the future. With each change, you'll have to inform all your contacts of your new e-mail address.

If you switch ISPs you can not take your e-mail address with you. ISPs are hoping this will lock you into their service. Most people will stay for just that reason. It can be difficult and very time consuming to notify everyone on the Internet of your e-mail address change. We can provide you with an e-mail address that will follow you no matter what ISP you use. If you change ISPs the process may take several days to several weeks. You are able to receive requests for information and respond to those requests automatically with a response that you prepare. Vacation mode will send a reply message to each person that sends you e-mail. The message is created by you to inform them that you may take sometime to reply to their e-mail. The message is sent to each person only once until the vacation mode is cancelled.

Once you are connected to the Internet you can get your e-mail from anywhere. You are not restricted to your access provider for e-mail services. Once your account is established, you will no longer encounter business card or stationery changes, notification of established contacts, or the general discomfort of changing addresses.

Many e-mail addresses are full of numbers, special characters and hard-to-decipher abbreviations for businesses and institutions. E-mail usernames are choosen by you they are easy to spell and remember. This will make things easier for both you and your contacts.
